Morzine Chalet Well
Have recently returned from a great holiday with Alpine Elements in Morzine at Chalet Well. I had never booked a catered group ski holiday before and was nervous about all the details, but I have been really impressed with Alpine Elements' organisation from start to finish. It was very easy to book with them over the phone, and then I found that they were very responsive whenever I had a query or a request in the intervening months before the holiday. They also made it very easy for every party member to pay their portion separately which I really appreciated.
The travel out to Morzine ran very smoothly - the transfers were on time, clear communication from the uniformed reps in the airport and a nice coach. At our chalet, our hosts James and Mia were great. They were friendly and professional, always turning up exactly when they said they would. The food was good quality and varied.
The chalet was very comfortable and stylish with lovely views over Morzine. It's a bit out of town but the bus service works well and stops just outside the door.
All in all I am very happy with the experience with Alpine Elements and I would definitely use them again.
We stayed at Chalet Charmant
We stayed at Chalet Charmant, Plagne Villages as a group of 10 for a week (15th Jan ‘23).
I can’t fault our chalet hostess, Eleanor. Eleanor was friendly, helpful and the food was absolutely great.
The reason for this review is how deceitful the location description of Chalet Charmant is and as a group we felt this was entirely mis-sold and quite frankly, a huge lie.
This is not (in any way) a ski to door location. There is literally no way in which anyone can either ski in or out even remotely close.
To get to the slopes, you have to walk down the road and between two apartments, to find a hill (not pisted) walk down this hill (knee deep+ in snow) and join a slope. Alternatively, you have a walk down the road to a set of 3-4 stair cases. The only way to return is to walk through the town area of Plagne Villages, across the road, down the 3-4 staircases (without hand rails, with ski gear) and then the last short walk to the chalet. This has taken members of our group in excess of 30 minutes (from piste to chalet)
We had good snow, and one day skied the short way on the road back to the chalet but were informed by locals this is actually illegal and can result in a fine of €130 by police, so this is not an option either.
Ski to door is a very specific selling point and the exact reason we initially chose Chalet Charmant. There is no grey area or misunderstanding…. The website prints ‘ski to door’ all over the chalet description.
I also couldn’t help but feel for AE hosts… week in, week out, inevitably being put in the impossible position of trying to pacify frustrated and disappointed guests when it becomes evident to each party that they have in fact been mis-sold ski to door, which is a problem completely out of their hands.
We raised this issue early on and were told this has now been rectified and removed from their website… however, it still very clearly says ski to door on their website today.
We wanted to make the effort to ensure others don’t have the same disappointment when booking Chalet Charmant.

The host made all the difference
Our chalet host Rosie was excellent. The perfect host. Friendly and great food.
The Chalet was a little tired and in need of some basic additions that would make everything easier and more comfortable for the guests and the host. There seemed to be a problem with the drains that wasn’t resolved during our stay. Unfortunately we weren’t able to lock the front door as we weren’t provided with a key for the first few days. However, Alpine elements were responsive to our queries and comments throughout the week.
Ultimately Rosie made the week and ensured we were comfortable and well fed.
Special Team At Ski D’Or
We have just left Ski D’Or in Tignes after a fabulous week of family & friends skiing/snowboarding. Perfect ski in/ski out location and a great, modern Chatel/hotel with everything you need, including heated boot room & sauna! The Alpine Elements team can’t do enough to help - food great, relaxed, friendly bar and the Val Claret area perfect for slopes & apres ski. I would highly recommend Alpine Elements - resort transfer included is a huge bonus from Geneva when prices have gone sky high by all operators and they have the best staff!
Excellent communication & super helpful
We have just booked with AE & after a little mix up on both parts, AE have been superb at fixing this & we are super excited to go skiing in Feb 2023 to Hotel Chalet Phillibert, whom have amazing reviews on Trust pilot. Charlie, thanks for all your communication, happy birthday & sorry for causing any upset. Clare, great chat on the phone & thanks a million xxx

Great company - always recommedn them!
I have found Alpine Elements to be a most satisfactory company to deal with. Jjust returned from a summer holiday to Morzine in teh Hermine Blanche and it was amazing - great staff, food and such a nice company to deal with, so we've already booked for next summer !
There's not many companies around who seem to be British run and Brit focussed and are bonded and a nice size - not too small and not too big. Id have no hestitation about recommending them and would urge you to ignore any covid related grumbles on this forum, all travel companies had them

Really poor experience last winter…
Really poor experience last winter season (stayed in Tignes for two weeks with them in a chalet and a hotel they ran). Bad value for money, low quality and poorly supported staff. Not a company I would ever bother with again.

Avoid - misleading location of chalet
Avoid. 1) The company mis-sells the location of some of its chalets, for example by carefully omitting that they are right next to a car park 2) They also mis-state the proximity to town 3) They take your money and offer zero help when things go wrong

We had a week at Chalet Nyon in Morzine…
We had a week at Chalet Nyon in Morzine (August 2022) hosted by Jan and Jana who were superb and fantastic cooks who looked after us like we were in a 5 star hotel! Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to help us, particularly looking after baby son. The chalet is in a good location for everything Morzine has to offer too.
Summer in Tignes
This is the 4th time I’ve used this company, the staff are so friendly and helpful, there is never a problem that can’t be resolved. The accommodation was great and the food was ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️. We stayed and Le ski D’or in Tignes for 2 weeks and kept ourselves busy the whole time. The only negative was the lack of communication between head office and the hotel and unfortunately we were unable to use the broken hot tub which was one of the selling points for us especially after having fully active days.
We stayed at the hotel Philbert in June…
We stayed at the hotel Philbert in June and had an amazing holiday. Family of 4, 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The staff were amazing, food fantastic and the setting, well what can I say! The most beautiful place I have ever seen! The views are spectacular. We stayed for a week but I would say 2 weeks would of been even better! I can not fault alpine elements, they were easy to deal with and everything planned and made a great holiday.
I would have no hesitation to book again. In fact I have already looked for next year!
NOT ABTA PROTECTED, WAITING FOR REFUND
On the 3/11/2020 we secured a booking for a trip for 8 people to France totalling £4684.00. After a delayed response from Alpine Elements, we paid a 50% deposit of £2342.00 on the 11/11/2020. On the 8/12/2020 we received notice that Alpine Elements Ltd had gone into administration and we would be hearing from the administrator or should contract ABTA. They are not ABTA protected and we are still waiting to receive our refund!
Stayed in the Hotel Ski d'Or in Tignes
Stayed in the Hotel Ski d'Or in Tignes, April 2022. My wife and I and 3 teens. The hotel is located in a brilliant position right across the road from the Tufs lift. . Hotel facilities really good and the staff were so nice and could not do enough for us all. The food was fantastic, breakfast, afternoon cake and especially dinner. Ski boot room a little small but that is a minor. Highly recommend. Thanks all. cheers.
Had a great time!
Had a great time!
Our Challet (Josephine, Tignes) was comfy and cosy, the hosts where great and made really nice food suitable for all diets.
It was easy to arrange, and the price was competitive.
One big improvement would be ditching Allianz as their provided insurer, those guys are crap and fight you at every opportunity, better off being uninsured

Hotel Philibert - excellent !
Booked on a Thursday and flew on the Sunday. Champagne on arrival, really very good food for the whole week (and huge portions!). The chalet/hotel was clean, inviting and the staff were superb - they couldn't do enough for us. Super friendly - well done manager Dan! The pool, hot tub and sauna were definitely a bonus after skiing and the hotel was very well placed for the buses, lifts and town. Excellent. I have used AE many times in the past and this did not disappoint. Will return.
